Horrorthon 5!

 

Equinox, AKA The Beast (1970). This is a strange one. Giant monsters, a dangerous Lovecraftian tome, a haunted cave, a missing professor, an invisible barrier between good and evil... At first the story seems to operate on dream logic; I actually enjoyed it less as it made more sense. The stop motion is not up to Harryhausen quality, but it still looks better than I was afraid it would. 7/10
