The 'Play De Record' store beside 'zanzibar' used to be *the* place to get dance / techno vinyl back in the day (90's) I haven't been there in ages (so no idea if it's still there at all) but when I went there, you actually had to go through a convenience store that occupied the front half of the store space to get to the records... heheh, I used to rifle through their 'bargain bin' looking for acapella mixes to steal samples from...

How about some attribution for the Flickr images used in your post.
Yours is not an unreasonable request.
I'm afraid though that, more than an hour after I started searching my History (as well as flickr itself), I am no closer to any answers.
Feel free to let us know, or indeed to ask that your picture be stricken from the record, should you so desire.
i work in film, and we often shoot in bars & strip clubs. it's a little sad and fascinating to see these places empty, with the lights on.
